Summary:
Under the direction of the Sr. Director of Operations, the Criminal Record Processor has the primary responsibility of proofreading and verifying information provided by criminal background researchers for accuracy to ensure the results are reported to clients abide by the FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act) as well as other client guidelines.
Job Description:
- Accurately report criminal history data
- Accurately enter data into a specialized computer software application program.
- Organize and process a large volume of data in an accurate and timely manner.
- Compare data entered into computer with data listed on the original documents.
- Abide by all internal policies and work procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of correct grammar, punctuation and spelling.
- Working skill in operating computer, applicable software including Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Knowledge of criminal court docket information
- Working skill in verbal and/or written communication.
- Ability to apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to multi-task, and is detail-oriented, accurate and organized.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates Degree or Higher required
- Experience with general office practices such as typing, filing, telephone computers
- Experience with criminal court records and docket information along with criminal terminology is essential.
- Weekend work may be required
- Required: Passing of Background Screening and Drug Testing
- 2.17 Responsible for understanding court terminology, as well as understanding the various jurisdictional court differences.
Environmental Conditions:
- Work conducted in primarily an office environment and in various meeting locations throughout the organization.
- Use of personal computer and keyboard as well as other office equipment (e.g. telephone, fax, copier, etc.).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $15.50 per hour
