We are a renowned Tier 1 supplier based in Weston-super-Mare, supplying remanufactured engines and gearboxes to several major and well known Automotive manufacturers and we are currently looking to strengthen our product disassembly, inspection and assembly teams due to increasing demand and the awarding of new transmission programs. Successful candidates would be able to work in all areas of our production lines
The role involves:
- Disassembly of transmissions/gearboxes in a rapid but safe manner following process instructions using supplied tooling and training
- Inspection of a wide range of engine and transmission components;
- Evaluation of parts against prescribed criteria and drawings;
- Measurement of features against drawings and set tolerances using various measuring tools, including micrometers and air gauging.
- Assembly of engines and transmissions on a production line
This role is in a busy production environment, and applicants must be prepared to work under pressure and within challenging time constraints. Some tasks can by physical and fast paced.
Previous experience in this specific role is not essential as training will be given, but previous experience in at least two of the following would be preferred:
- Mechanical assembly;
- Engine and gearbox familiarity;
- Component inspection;
- Production / factory environment.
We are offering a starting rate from £11.14, a Work Based pension (Eligible to join after 3 months) and 25 days holiday a year (plus Bank Holidays)
