We are currently seeking applications for contract positions for a Quality Inspector - Senior position in the Saint John area with a minimum of a Level II CWB Visual Inspection certificate. We will consider a level I with over 5 years relevant experience.
The position requires an individual with 3-5 years inspecting pressure equipment, piping, and vessels. In addition to inspection, the ideal candidate will have experience coordinating NDE inspections, managing document turnover and supervising activities to ensure compliance to Lorneville's quality management program in the field.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Pre-planning activities such as assigning applicable WPS, work packages, ITPs, etc
- Managing and implementing the Site Quality Plan, project-specific procedural documents ITPs and other construction-related documents
- Assisting in, or preparation of NCRs related to construction deficiencies or anomalies
- Assembly and acceptance of associated quality records into the turnover package
- Technical understanding of ASME B31.1, B31.3 and IX and the ABSA jurisdiction requirments
- Field inspection and work planning
- Coordinating and overseeing all required inspection and testing requirements, including the timing and arranging of inspections with external NDE contractors
- Effective time management
- Contractor management
- Technical writing and field inspection reporting skills
- Project and process quality control monitoring
- Communicate with team members to obtain information about quality control issues
Qualifications
- CWB certified Level II Welding Inspector
- Technically competent in the application of applicable codes, standards, and provincial/federal regulations related to ASME B31.1, B31.3
- Willingness to travel
· Ability to perform physically demanding activities that may involve moving, setting up, and operating inspection equipment
· A proven ability to work in high-stress and fast paced environment.
· Self-directed with Strong leadership skills.

Salary: From $50.00 per hour
